The dracolyth, named Canhel Dragon (カンヘルドラゴン Kanherudoragon) in the Japanese version, is a mutated creature from Panzer Dragoon, its 2020 remake, and Panzer Dragoon Saga. It appears in the Submerged City, the desert, and Uru. Dracolyths were creatures that traveled in flocks and constantly migrated.[1]
The dracolyth was only seen in its juvenile form; its appearance when mature is unknown. The dracolyths seen in the desert in Panzer Dragoon are a distinct subspecies of dracolyth that prefers a drier climate.[2]
In Panzer Dragoon, some of the dracolyths in the desert have parasites attached to them that will fly towards the player after the dracolyth is killed. The parasites can be shot down.
