Perez was a quester who belonged to the Seekers of Skiad Ops Gash. He was a new Seeker at the time of Panzer Dragoon Saga and had not completed his training. He told Edge that he had never dreamed of fighting against a flying battleship.
Along with Reuben, Perez was an apprentice quester. It is likely that both apprentices were trained by Simeon, a more experienced quester, although in Perez’s case this is not confirmed.

While Edge was staying at the Seekers' Stronghold, Perez wondered what it was like to ride a dragon. He even asked Edge if he could ride his dragon one day.
When the threat of battle was approaching, Perez worried that if the battle took place in the Forest of Zoah the shrine may be destroyed in the process. It is not clear what shrine he was referring to, but one possibility is that it was the shrine containing the dragon crest that Edge’s dragon later uses to transform into the Solo Wing.
