Tomokiro Kondo is the director of Panzer Dragoon II Zwei. He was also one of two producers of Panzer Dragoon and worked on Panzer Dragoon Saga for part of the game's production.
Panzer Dragoon Saga[]
Tomokiro Kondo created a prototype for Panzer Dragoon Saga's battle system, but left Team Andromeda part way through the game's production to work on another game. The prototype was a combination of a shooting game and positioning. Kondo-san proposed using active-time battles, commonly used in RPGs such as Final Fantasy where the player switches between multiple characters, but instead switching between weapons, since Panzer Dragoon Saga only has one character. This idea was vetoed by the team, since it was too similar to other RPGs.[1]
